setting out works

Requirements

Setting out is the process of marking on the ground the exact locations of foundations, walls, columns, and other structural elements based on architectural and engineering drawings. It is the bridge between the designed digital drawing and physically marking it on the ground so that construction can take place.

It involves establishing reference points (benchmarks, datums, control points) and using surveying instruments to ensure the structure is built in the correct place, orientation, and dimensions.

Methodology

Our team would use the following:

  • Total Station
  • Automatic / Digital Level
  • Global Position System (GPS) units
  • Theodolite and tape
